Mastering Natural Light
Natural light is your best friend in portrait photography. Learn to work with it effectively.
Golden Hour Magic
The hour after sunrise and before sunset provides the most flattering light for portraits. The warm, soft tones minimize harsh shadows and create a natural glow.
Open Shade
Position your subject in open shade (like under a tree or awning) to avoid harsh midday sun. Look for catchlights in the eyes to ensure there's enough light.
Window Light
For indoor shoots, position models near large windows. Use sheer curtains to diffuse harsh sunlight and create beautiful, soft illumination.
